Methods to Check Your JAMB Result
There are two main ways to check your JAMB result:
1. Through the JAMB Portal
2. Via SMS

Method 1: Checking JAMB Result on the JAMB Portal
You can check your result online through the JAMB result-checking portal. Follow these simple steps:

1. Visit the JAMB Result Portal

Open your browser and go to the official JAMB website: https://www.jamb.gov.ng.

2. Click on “Check UTME Results”
On the homepage, locate and click on the “Check UTME Results” option.

3. Enter Your JAMB Registration Number
You will be asked to enter your JAMB registration number or email address used during registration.

4. Click on “Check My Result”
After entering your details, click the “Check My Result” button.

5. View and Print Your Result
Your JAMB score will be displayed on the screen. If you wish, you can print the result for future reference.

Important Notes:
You need a good internet connection to check your result online.
If your result is not yet available, JAMB may notify you to check back later.

Method 2: Checking JAMB Result via SMS
If you do not have internet access, you can check your result via SMS using your registered phone number. Follow these steps:

1. Open the messaging app on your phone.

2. Type UTMERESULT (in capital letters).

3. Send the message to 55019 or 66019.

4. Wait for a response from JAMB.

Possible SMS Responses:

• If your result is ready, you will receive an SMS containing your scores.
• If your result is withheld, you will receive a message saying, “Result Withheld.”
• If you used a wrong phone number, you will get a message saying, “This phone number was not used for registration.”

Important Notes:
You must send the SMS from the phone number used during JAMB registration.
Each SMS costs ₦50, so ensure you have enough airtime.

Checking your JAMB result is simple and can be done online or via SMS. If you have a good internet connection, the JAMB portal is the best option. However, if you don’t have internet access, the SMS method is a quick alternative.
